Terms of Service

Welcome to Her Becoming. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Her Becoming ("Her Becoming," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of herbecoming.world and any digital products we sell, including Paper Trail and any other product from The Becoming Compass (the "Services"). By using the site or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who may use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old, able to form a binding contract under the laws that apply to you, and not barred from receiving our Services under applicable law. By using the Services, you represent that this is true.

2. The products and what you get

Her Becoming sells digital, downloadable products — spreadsheets, PDFs, templates, scripts, and related materials. When you complete a purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to download and use the product for yourself and your immediate household. You may:

• Download and keep the files on your own devices.
• Use them privately for your own co-parenting, documentation, and planning needs.
• Share read-only excerpts with your own attorney, mediator, or judge as part of a legal matter.

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the products.
• Post them publicly, upload them to file-sharing or template marketplaces, or use them to train machine-learning models.
• Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
• Represent Her Becoming materials as your own work.

3. Orders, pricing, and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars unless noted. Payment is processed by PayPal. By completing a purchase you authorize the charge and agree to PayPal's terms. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse or cancel an order in cases of suspected fraud, chargebacks, or abuse.

4. Refund policy

Because our products are digital and delivered instantly, all sales are generally final. That said, we want you to feel good about your purchase. If the product fails to deliver, is materially broken, or isn't what was advertised, email support@herbecoming.world within 14 days of purchase with your order ID and a short description of the issue. We will fix the problem or refund the amount paid at our discretion.

5. Calendar Sync add-on (Paper Trail Pro)

Paper Trail Pro includes an optional Google Apps Script that you deploy inside your own Google account. The script is provided as-is. Her Becoming does not host, see, or control the data produced by the sync once it is running in your account, and is not responsible for changes Google may make to Apps Script, ICS feeds, or Google Calendar policies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any law or infringe anyone's rights.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the site or to other users.
• Use automated systems to scrape, copy, or re-publish our content.
• Use any Her Becoming product, template, or script as evidence without acknowledging that it is a self-recorded log and may be subject to challenge in court.

7. User-submitted content

If you email us, post in a future Her Becoming Circle community, or otherwise submit content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content to operate and improve the Services. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential or wish to remain private.

8. Intellectual property

Her Becoming, the logo, The Becoming Compass, Paper Trail, and all related names, designs, templates, written content, and code are owned by Her Becoming and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Your license under these Terms does not transfer any ownership.

9. Third-party services

The Services link to or integrate with third-party services including PayPal, Google Workspace, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Cloudflare. Her Becoming is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. HER BECOMING DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY PARTICULAR LEGAL OR COURT OUTCOME FROM USING OUR PRODUCTS.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HER BECOMING AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Her Becoming from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your misuse of the Services, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Dispute Resolution).

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. If you are a consumer protected by mandatory rules of your home country, nothing in these Terms removes those rights.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted means you accept the new Terms.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Her Becoming regarding the Services.
